Education at Tanganyika Senior School goes beyond exam preparation. We believe in building a “star school” where learners not only succeed academically but also understand their responsibility to their community and the world.
At the Senior School, learners are educated using the local National Curriculum (NECTA). All our senior students have the opportunity to be really pushed in their academics, to take on leadership roles, and to enjoy and benefit pastorally from a familiar, small and safe environment.
Pre-teen and early-teen years can be some of the most difficult to navigate for young people and for parents. At Tanganyika, we recognize the potential challenges of this age group. We have created a pastoral care system that nurtures and motivates our students to ensure the academic expectations and the students’ peer interactions are well balanced.
Our students are excellent leaders and role models for the whole school community. They inspire responsibility and independence which add to their sense of leadership. They lead in various activities throughout the school, set the example on the sports field, mentor our younger learners, and are visible at all school events where there are many opportunities for all students to lead, take responsibility and care for each other.
After the completion of their O level exams, our students leave our school as confident, well rounded, empathetic and resilient young people. They are well equipped for college or university and become role models for others.
As the Head of Senior School, I am delighted to share my enthusiasm for the vibrant community that thrives within our walls. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to nurturing the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student.
We strive to create a supportive environment where students can explore their passions, develop their talents, and build lasting relationships. Our goal is to empower young minds to become confident, compassionate, and lifelong learners.
I invite you to explore our website and discover the Tanganyika Schools difference.
