Our Curriculum

Our Curriculum

At Tanganyika Early Years, our curriculum is designed to nurture and develop each child, fostering their security, confidence, imagination, and creativity. We recognize the uniqueness of every child, considering their abilities, interests, and special educational needs, and tailor our curriculum accordingly. Our approach combines elements from Montessori, Early Years Foundation Stage, and the Cambridge Curriculum.

We believe that children learn best through play, which is why we provide a wide range of engaging and challenging play activities both indoors and outdoors. These activities promote holistic development and support the overall growth of the children.

Regular observation of children’s progress is an integral part of our curriculum. We assess their development and share this information with parents, appreciating their valuable input. This assessment guides our planning for individual children as well as for the whole year group.

Our curriculum covers the following areas of learning and development:

Personal, social, and emotional development
Communication, language, and literacy
Problem solving, reasoning, and numeracy
Knowledge and understanding of the world
Creative development
Physical development

Through our comprehensive curriculum, we provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive, explore, and build a strong foundation for future learning.

Join our Community

We welcome children and families from all social, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Our preschool embraces diversity and strives to create an inclusive environment where all children can play and grow together. We value the richness that different family structures and lifestyles bring to our community.
